The AI Office should also be responsible for fostering international cooperation and convergence of standards on AI, including with a view to reducing regulatory arbitrage and burdens for operators in the Union. In fulfilling its role, the AI Office should take into account the international dimension of the AI value chain, the varying regulatory approaches in different regions, and the common interest of the Union and its trade partners in fostering trustworthy AI.
