The provider of a general-purpose AI model or, where their model is integrated into a downstream AI system, the AI system provider, should comply with any applicable copyright and related rights law, including by applying suitable techniques to ensure that the model does not generate outputs that infringe those rights. This includes keeping records of and providing, upon request, a summary of the content used for training. The same information obligations should apply to providers of general-purpose AI models with systemic risk.
